They will share their expertise, knowledge and vision to help guide the digital platform’s editorial staff design and execute relevant content to share.
Chavez is pioneering SRS Distribution’s multi-faceted approach to nurturing relationships with Latino roofing contractors nationwide. After crushing it in sales as a territory manager in the greater-Atlanta area, Chavez is now responsible for developing, measuring and executing sales and marketing initiatives geared toward the growing Latino roofing contractor demographic.
Elliott started his career handling building product sales in 1995 and has been with Dallas-based DW Distribution for 15 years, including the last eight as president. Though he admits to not getting much sleep, he says he sleeps comfortably knowing his “control what we can control” philosophy breeds success in both the short and long term for distributors.
Gomes’ journey began as a young professional in the building material distribution landscape, where he quickly demonstrated a keen understanding of the industry's intricacies. He previously served as president and CEO at Pacific Coast Supply and held that role for nearly 21 years. In January 2023, Gomes joined the Independent Distributor Alliance as the executive director.
Jamie Samide is the vice president of marketing for BEACON Building Products, a position he’s held for the past six years. In his role, Samide leads teams in critical business functions such as eCommerce, private label strategy, digital marketing, lead generation and overall brand strategy. Prior to that, he lead the brand strategy for Cintas’ uniform rental division and developed the company’s first national branding ad campaign.
Skaggs, based in Indianapolis, is the vice president, west region, for BlueLinx Corporation, a wholesale distributor of building and industrial products. He previously served as vice president for all of Beacon’s Great Lakes region operations. He’s also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a Division I college football official, and a 14-year-veteran of the roofing distribution trade that writes about sales, marketing and leadership for RSP.
Scott Snowball has been in the roofing supply business for over 40 years, starting at Broward Roofing Supply, Inc., a roofing supply company founded by his grandfather in 1964. He moved in to the cooperative space in 2008 and is now director of operations and member benefits for NEMEON, Inc., a network of over 130 independently owned roofing and siding distributors across the United States and Canada.
Thompson joined ABC Supply, Inc. in 2007 as a business manager of steep-slope products in the American Southeast. Today he’s responsible for all internal and external marketing, sales development and national accounts nationwide for the largest distributor in the marketplace.
Weiss started with Elite Roofing Supply more than a decade ago and is now responsible for the company’s finances, credit, marketing, IT, operations and human resources as it attempts to become the largest independent distributor in the West.
