Hyster Company recently announced the release of its first models built on the all-new ‘A Series’ platform, the Hyster H40-70A series, which boasts 4,000-to-7,000-pound lift capacity and safety features designed to bolster productivity, including its Dynamic Stability System.

In a statement, Hyster said its A Series is a new line of forklift trucks manufactured using the company’s “A+ Logic design philosophy.” The company says its A+ Logic is a scalable approach, beginning with the base of the A Series truck platform that allows customers to choose the options needed from a fully integrated set of scalable and adjustable features.

Hyster_Forklift_1.png“We developed A+ Logic because no two customers face identical challenges, and meeting their needs means building the truck around them – not a generic, off-the-shelf solution,” John Santiago, director, Product Planning and Solutions at Hyster, said. “The tight-knit collaboration between our dealers and customers is an essential part of our approach, and the A Series platform allows us to act on that, delivering a lift truck solution built around their needs, with everything they need and nothing they don’t.”

The company added that the flexible options available on the H40-70A deliver the capability operations need while protecting company budgets, including the Dynamic Stability System. Standard on all H40-70A models and completely maintenance-free, DSS uses sensors to monitor truck status continually. When it detects the truck exceeding designated thresholds, the company said DSS automatically implements measures like limiting truck speed and hydraulic function to help minimize the risk of forward and sideways tip-overs.

The operator remains in command of the equipment and receives performance reduction feedback, visual indicators and audible alerts to help reinforce the best practices established in their training. Integration with Hyster Tracker™ telemetry monitoring is also an available option to help supervisors access greater visibility into operator performance through real-time updates each time a DSS function is triggered.

“The A Series delivers the tough, high-quality forklifts that customers in demanding applications expect, with advances to support truck stability, operator best practices and ultimately, productivity,” Jimmy Anderson, product manager at Hyster, said. “DSS lends them a helping hand, automatically reinforcing their training.”

The company said its operator-focused approach includes ergonomics, with the H40-70A designed for high levels of visibility to equip operators for optimal performance. Hyster notes how the operator compartment allows easy entry and exit with a lowered seat, increased floor space, and substantial head and shoulder clearance.

Designed with a low dash and wide mast window, Hyster said its A Series provides excellent forward visibility. An optional high-strength laminated glass roof offers an unobstructed upward view to help operators place loads at height.
