CertainTeed has earned two honors from the National Association for Home Builders [NAHB] Offsite Construction Specialty Awards for its products as well as its business practices.

Award recipients were recognized at the Building Systems Housing Summit held in Washington, D.C. Oct. 15-17. The Offsite Construction Specialty Awards honor NAHB-winning members each year based on their contributions to the systems-built housing industry, NAHB and the Building Systems Councils.

CertainTeed earned the “Supplier of the Year” award, which recognizes NAHB members based on their business practices, contributions to the systems built housing industry, innovation, and involvement with NAHB & Building Systems Council.

John Harding, CertainTeed offsite construction business development program manager, was specifically named for his contribution to the Offsite Construction segment of the industry. According to a news release, Harding’s work is “critical to CertainTeed’s continued promotion of construction technologies that improve the performance, sustainability and productivity of the building industry.”

Key contributions to this progress by Harding include working with modular factories, being an active participant in trade organizations, and bringing visibility to the unique needs of offsite construction.

“It is a great honor to be recognized based upon our business practices, contribution to the systems built housing industry, innovation, and involvement with NAHB & Building Systems Council,” said Harding. “I am proud of the work the team has done to progress this innovative method of construction and excited for the future of this industry.”

CertainTeed also received the “Offsite Construction Award for Innovative Product or Service” for its ONE PRECISION ASSEMBLIES [OPA] product. Launched in March 2023, the OPA offers fully-constructed wall, floor, ceiling, and roof panels to help builders complete more homes faster with less risk on the jobsite.

“The launch of OPA this spring marked a pivotal expansion of CertainTeed’s building solution offerings and reinforced our team’s commitment to make the world a better home,” said Dennis Michaud, director of CertainTeed Platforms and managing director of CertainTeed Offsite Solutions. “We’re proud to receive this recognition from the NAHB, which speaks to the quality and innovation behind our OPA system.”

The NAHB is one of the largest trade associations in the United States, representing more than 140,000 home builders, developers, contractors, and associated businesses, including building material manufacturers and suppliers.
