In one of the most iconic scenes of the movie, Father Karras falls down a flight of stairs and dies on the pavement after being possessed by the demon Pazuzu and throwing himself out of Regan's bedroom window on the roof.

The Omen (1976) 

Damien's nanny hangs herself from the roof of a mansion during his birthday party, shouting, "It's all for you, Damien!" before jumping.

The Shining (1980)

Jack Torrance chases his son Danny through a hedge maze in the snow, but Danny manages to escape by retracing his steps and hiding behind a snow-covered roof.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

Nancy has a nightmare where she sees Freddy Krueger on the roof of her school, scraping his claws on the metal pipes and taunting her.

Hereditary (2018)

Charlie Graham suffers from an allergic reaction and sticks her head out of the car window to breathe but is decapitated by a telephone pole. Her brother Peter drives home in shock and leaves her body in the car. The next morning, her headless corpse is shown on the roof of the car.

Midsommar (2019)

Dani Ardor travels to Sweden with her boyfriend Christian and his friends to attend a midsummer festival in a remote commune. She witnesses a ritual where two elderly members of the cult jump off a cliff and land on a wooden roof, splattering their blood and brains.
